Beautiful old property with delightful gardens backing onto the river. The water falls are a short walk away but the path is a bit rocky and uphill so you need to be reasonably physically fit. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff delightful.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cozy auberge in the snowy mountains. The location is stunning, offering peaceful views and a truly charming atmosphere. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Dinner was delicious and satisfying, and breakfast had everything we needed to start our day well. I knew that I had rented a small apartment but it exceeded my expectations! It was actually very nice and complete and very well decorated. The manager of the hotel, Maarten, was very friendly and asked me to text me my arrival time in front, and he was waiting for me perfect in time to hand over the keys and explain everything. He also gave me a lot of information about the area and region and actually that gave me some ideas! The village is very close to the great Tour de France Alpes like Glandon, Galibier, Alpe d'Huez. And the village La Grave with cable car going the glacier at 3200m (Maarten's tip) was the best! I once had breakfast in the hotel, but the apartment was so nice that I decided to arrange my own breakfast the remaining days, while listening to the nice river next to the apartment. This vacation in the French Alpes was one of my best of the last years, certainly because of the very nice apartment from Hotel le Cassini! Thanks Maarten, I will certainly recommend your hotel and try to come again sometime.

After an active day, there is nothing better than sitting down for a tasty meal and then sinking into a wonderfully comfortable bed. The nights are quiet and peaceful, ensuring a deep, refreshing sleep. What makes Herberg Saval truly special are the hosts Leroy and his girlfriend Clémentine. What warm, hospitable people! They do everything they can to make you feel at home and their enthusiasm for the region is infectious. An absolute must – we will definitely be back!

    The chalet was very warm and almost felt like home. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for a shower. The way we accessed the tele-cabine was to drive, but we didn't have any issues finding parking, which is free. We used the restaurant, which is a 5 minute walk and had a fantastic meal but the chalet is fully equipped with hob and full sized oven.We will most definitely say here again next time we ski in les 2 alpes.
