We stayed one night we had an evening meal that was excellent. The breakfast was also amazing.. The room was comfortable and cozy. We had a great sleep on a very comfortable bed. It's a grand old hotel like going back in time. We will be back.

Lana gave us a very warm welcome with dinner ready for us when we wanted (which was delicious, by the way!). Check-in and check-out times were a lot more flexible than other places we stayed, including breakfast times. This was important for us as we were cycling long distances and it really helps to get on the road a bit earlier. The home is lovely, the room very comfortable.

    Breakfast was good. Room 56 was rather tired. Basin leaked. WC is a grinder. Bed quite hard. No ventilation as window didn't open. Windows to terrace are either closed or open to the world. It is a long way from the castle in rainy weather. Not enough parking spaces for 4 cars at the annex as there were when I stayed.

    The castle is beautiful and the grounds of the castle are really lovely with peacocks on the lawn, and the castle being lit up at night. There was a tour of the castle with a short video of the history which was very much appreciated with a very friendly staff member giving lots of information on the tour. Breakfast was excellent and efficient staff in the breakfast room. Parking was very easy.
