The hostess, Kim, was very kind and welcoming. Straight away she made us feel good. The room was spacious, clean and seemed recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm and the shower/bathroom was clean and had everything you could possibly need.

Shandwick House was an absolute find. I received a warm welcome from the husband and wife hosts, and the facilities were absolutely spotless. I had an incredibly comfortable night's sleep and a hearty breakfast with excellent conversation from the friendly hosts. The location had onsite parking and was very convenient to the sightseeing that Tain has to offer. I would happily stay here over and over if I ever come to Tain again.

We stayed at 6 B&Bs during our visit to Scotland. All were good but this was the best and most comfortable. Excellent King-size bed. The only discomfort we experienced (in most of the places we stayed) was the use of a comforter inside a sheet pocket. While this is a great idea, the comforter was too warm and there was no way to adjust it except to throw it off. This resulted in either being hot or cold. All said, a minor complaint.
