The checking in was fast, efficient. The room was great, facilities laid out well, shower powerful and hot. There was a sofa bed in the room and great as added seating. There was an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. The ambience was great, and welcoming. This is the best greene King I have stayed in. Very impressed. The towels were large and fluffy! Well situated for the town centre.

This was a great place to stay. The staff was so friendly. Breakfast was great; we were able to have cold items plus several choices for warm breakfast items. A short walk gets you to the Abby and the shopping, area around it.

Really enjoyed my short stay - wish I could have stayed longer in Bury. The contact was professional and responsive throughout. Clean and comfy room, exactly as pictured. The kitchen was fully equipped as well. Good shower pressure. Location was central and entrance straightforward to find. 5 mins easy walk from Bury St. Edmunds train station, 5 mins walk to high street, 10 mins walk to the Abbey.

Looking for a location to stay that was convenient for my work meetings and also allowed my wife to visit some local tourist sites. I came across Willow Barn which looked great but didn’t have any reviews. Decided I liked the look of the property and booked for a couple of nights. The Barn is in a quiet village and is accessible down a long single track road. In terms of the accommodation I didn’t need to worry. Furnished to an excellent standard it is homely and functional . With everything you would need for a comfortable stay it’s fitted with a good size eat in kitchen and separate utility room. Upstairs there’s a large living space and bedroom with views over open fields, there’s a beautiful roll top bath in the open plan bedroom and a separate large en-suite bathroom with beautiful toiletries. The accommodation is full of homely touches such as a bookcase full of reading material, there’s a selection of DVDs and games. Wi-Fi is available and there’s a selection of local tourist attractions. Outside there’s a large front garden with a bench to sit and watch the evening sunset and a small barbecue area at the rear. The hosts have definitely tried to think of everything to make your visit comfortable. The decor is modern but with some lovely country touches.

This property is steeped in history! The pub itself was lovely and welcoming and the staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The accommodation was very nice, lots of character and very clean. Shower hot and strong. Bed was a king size and comfortable and room was a good size. Free parking at the door of your room. Single storey, so no having to drag bags upstairs.
