Lovely property right in the heart of Cirencester, full of character. Very spacious and full of old charm. Perfect Cotswold break. We timed it by chance for the Christmas light switch on, market and fireworks. Lovely and friendly owner, extremely helpful with any requests we had.

The hotel is several buildings alongside a lake – there are several lakes in the area – outside of Cirencester. You'll need a car to get here but once here it´s a tranquil experience but, perhaps, not during weekends when lots of people go to the countryside in order to eat, drink and sleep. It is a rather large complex with many buildings but it comes across as small because of it´s layout. Breakfast was excellent with options that can satisfy everybody. A full English breakfast and you don´t need to eat again until late afternoon.

    We had a little attic style room in a legacy building in a beautiful Cotswold stone street. Everything was well organised. Breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful and this is a strength. Good car parking at rear. Cirencester river walk not far from the hotel.
