Nice position in Scotland, especially if you plan to visit Balmoral Castle. The mattress was comfortable, the bathroom had two sinks, the shower was large. Breakfast was good and rich, the staff was professional and thoughtful.

Tucked away in a lovely quiet wee village in the beautiful Scottish highlands. An easy drive from Aberdeen and only twenty minutes away from Balmoral Castle. My single room was a delight in all respects and the breakfast provided was the best provided during my tour of Scotland.

We loved everything about this property. The size and space for everyone, cleanliness and facilities. Oh yes the fact that it is in amongst the hills. Perfect setting, so very quiet. It’s only a 10 minute drive from Ballater where there are lots of shops and a main supermarket. We would love to return!

Fairdene Cottage was perfect. So adorable and comfortable. I was able to visit Balmoral and also the Ballater train station with a replica of Queen Victoria's train carriage. I loved everything about the cottage and its location.
