    Location is great. The pub is great if you're wanting a place that is true to it's heritage and history; it is full of character and not modern. Our hotel room (number 3) was lovely, beautifully decorated with full en-suite. Hotel rooms are separate to the pub, accessed from the beer garden. Free parking to the rear. Recommend a short 5 min walk to the Country Kitchen for breakfast - really quaint and great food.

    Having stayed at another place near Barnsley Hospital, which was dreadful, the Market was an oasis. Although a bit further away from the hospital it was clean and comfortable. Pub downstairs if required. Next to the heritage centre. End of month free concert if interested. The Maison du Bierre highly recommended. Elsecar Park and reservoir nearby. Free parking.

    Good location. Neat clean and tidy room. Enough facilities for what we needed to do. Good close by parking. Can use the EV chargers in car park. Despite the activities outside we slept well and were not disturbed by them.

    The room was well equipped and comfortable. Excellent location (Right next to Heritage Centre) ... Ample free parking. Lots of Tea and Coffee (and milk) in the room with a kettle, Iron, Ironing board and Hair Dryer. We had limited contact with the hosts but what we did have was very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Elsecar.

    The staff were great and the pub location very good, too. Parking was easy and free, though the car park closes at 9.00 pm. Plenty of towels and the bed was good.
