    Beautiful location, far enough away from the busy village but a super short walk in (which I would recommend for meals - see below). We booked a last-minute room and it was huge, very clean and had fantastic views out towards the lake. Staff were very friendly and accommodating - we arrived early so that we could go for a walk before checking in and there was no problem with us parking.

    Welcoming and happy staff, room was clean and had WiFi, t.v. etc without any bother. When a light didn't work, they fixed it immediately with courteous attention. Great with our dog. We could have meals in the bar area with our dog. There is a National Trust level, stone path along the River to the lake with beautiful views. There is a separate car park or National Trust car park. Good choice of good for cooked breakfast.
