Very good location just next to bus stop. Private parking. Lovely and very helpful owners and all workers. Bottles of water in the room, biscuits, coffee, tea and fruit. Highly recommended and would definitely come back.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and thoughtful. We slept in a beautiful room that was spacious and comfortable but continued to have the old world charm we were looking for with modern conveniences. The food was really delicious, reasonably priced and great drinks. It's obviously used by locals and their pups which we loved to see. We weren't right in Oxford but within very easy distance either by car or bus and we used both. It's a really beautiful town and one of our favourite places to stay in our 7 week holiday. They have a few sister pubs in other towns and because of the good experience at the Bear and Ragged Staff we had lunch or dinner there. They were really good as well but this was the best.

It’s a lovely building very warm and well preserved. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and well equipped. Good mattress and pillows. The food in the restaurant is absolutely amazing the same with the beer and wine. However the real gem is the staff. Young, polite, smiley people, all you hear is “we most certainly can”! Really lovely to see a group of young professionals running this place to such high standards.

    The staff could not be more helpful, they went beyond what was expected and looked after us very well. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Oxford. It only a short bus trip into town, the bustop is only 150 metre away, leave the car in their car park and just commute.

    We booked the Talbot Inn as an overnight stay as we are walking the Thames Path from the Swinford Toll Bridge, don't worry its only 5p per car! The room was spacious and well appointed, as was the en-suite shower room. Nice and warm, close to the pub and car park. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We booked an evening meal, recommended, as the restaurant isn't huge. The portions were generous but they do offered smaller plates. Breakfast was of a high standard too.

    Excellent 3 night stay at The Talbot Inn. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was lovely. We also used the restaurant on the 3 evenings, which again was lovely. All of the staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Ideal location with on-site parking. Would definitely recommend it for any length of stay.
