A lovely country pub with excellent facilities in a really nice village. Our room was a very generous size with ensuite. Everything was clean and well prepared. The owners made us feel at home and very welcome. We had a lovely breakfast.

Really nice comfortable stay. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a clean, modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of options provided to make yourself a cuppa which was appreciated. Easy self check in and self check out. Lovely communicative host. A few continental breakfast items available in the room - please note the cafe downstairs (independent from the guesthouse) has pretty limited hours so early risers need not plan to eat breakfast there

I absolutely love the check-in process at this place. The host goes above and beyond by providing detailed instructions that make everything so easy. And let me tell you, the property itself is absolutely amazing! The decorations are top-notch and create such a fantastic atmosphere. Fantastic stay in lovely cottage. Great base for exploring all Yorkshire has to offer. The hot tub was an added bonus enjoyed by both ourselves and the grandkids. Hist were very accommodating especially when this damsel in distress let the battery run down in the car needed a jump start. Thank you so so much

Location was brilliant for us as we had a car. But we wanted a relaxing weekend away in a lovely cottage and that is what we got. Hot tub was great! Parking right outside the cottage. Everything we needed in the cottage. Beds were comfy. Lovely bath and shower. We will be back.

    The cottage was great. Very comfortable, lots of space, everything you need is there. You can park at the courtyard or pub car park. Very convenient location. Lovely host. I do recommend this place.

    Perfectly placed, 5 minutes away from our wedding venue. The room was a great size ,bed really comfy and fresh breakfast. Stuart accomadeted early check in and offered taxi service to our venue if needed. Had everything we needed including a fridge in the room ,free WiFi and free parking.

    Nice country family run inn with rooms in main pub and external cottages. Great size room and bathroom with tea and coffee making facilities Good secure parking Locals very friendly and all seem to have dogs who are all well behaved. Close to york and owner can provide taxi facility Fantastic breakfast. Room clean and bed was very comfortable Great for walking and visiting local places of interest. Highly recommend. Thanks
