First class restaurant and service. Staff always kind, helpful and welcoming. Homely atmosphere. Very comfortable and warm room with ultra modern bathroom. Extra clean. Very olde worlde hotel with a lot of history, the bed was most comfortable, the bathroom was small but clean and modern with a variety of toiletries available for use, the breakfast was lovely and specially cooked poached egg with toast for my husband and I. The waitress was extremely helpful and pleasant, lastly the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable.

The apartments were perfect for our stay. Being a large sporting group of 18, the apartments provided big living areas and very large kitchen facilities in their ground floor apartments (the Executive 2 bedroom) with all other apartments still very spacious and comfortable for our athletes. The other apartments we had at Ascot House were loft style 2 bedroom apartments, all with moderately sized kitchen facilities in each, new and modern rooms with 2 bathrooms (double, double rooms) plus free onsite parking. There aren’t too many shops or cafes immediately near by being that they are located in a business park however, large shops like Tesco and Iceland are a short 5min drive away plus it’s only 15min to Peterborough. Ascot House has some beautiful walking trails through forests and fields that start at the end of the street and the lake is also within walking distance. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly, assisting us with anything we needed to help our group settle in and across the week. They even provided us an additional desk for our room that was set up in the foyer area to use for the week. For a sporting team of our size, the accommodation is very suitable.
