Everything was first rate! Renata is a very friendly host, and the room was very comfortable and attractive. Very comfortable and quite huge bed, large smart tv, plenty of storage, and remote controlled power blinds! Bathroom was good, too, and there was plenty of parking a few yards from the house. If you don't have a car I noticed the bus to and from the city center goes right by the house. I'd love to come back and stay with Renata again next time in Edinburgh!

The staff were welcoming, the smell of the castle (burnt wood and peat) was gorgoues and cozy. The bar and restaurant were phenomenal and the staff were just awesome, we are already planning on coming back when we can. Have nothing bad to say. WONDERFUL!

The staff are super friendly and so helpful. Our flight was delayed and they waited up to let us in at a very late hour. Breakfast was incredible and Grahame is a delight to chat with each morning. Clean and cosy room. Great location with bus stop outside the door. Beautiful village. We leave today somewhat sadly but will be back!

Beautiful castle, the room and bathroom were amazing, particularly the bed! It was clean and confortable. The spot with forest around is pretty. The spa was very nice too. Good breakfast, and the 5 course dinner, which I had booked with the room, so delicious! The staff is skillful and the service very good. I really felt like a princess during my stay, it was exactly what I was looking for!

    Perfect base to explore Edinburgh as the property is located close enough to the city but is surrounded by pretty farmlands. We drove to Gorebridge station, parking is free and took a train to Edinburgh Waverley sation which is in the heart of the city in less than 30 mins.. made exploring Edimburgh easy and stressfree. The hosts; Samantha and Stefan were very helpful before and during our stay. Thank you for hosting us. Will stay again.
