We loved our stay at the Jug and Bottle. All of the staff were incredibly nice and polite, from the younger waitresses through to the owners and housekeepers. The location was quiet and breakfast was amazing. We got back one night and the pub was in full swing which was a little noisy in the room but 11pm came and it was silent. Loved it.

The property was spotlessly clean , had absolutely everything I needed - and more !! Nicky was very welcoming 😃 and the fact it has Air Con - On the hottest weekend of the year - well , that was just the icing in the cake !! I slept soundly , which I often don't when I'm not at home. So all in all , I can't wait to go back !! 😀

Clean, plenty of space for a family and well equipped. Location was excellent for Lark Lane, Sefton Park and only a 10 minute drive to the University and a 15 minute drive to Anfield. Plenty of shops in a short walking distance, some great coffees shops and restaurants on Lark Lane and the Lunko bakery is a must visit within 5 minutes walk. The house has been lovingly decorated and furnished and the communication from the host was fantastic throughout. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout from simple things like shampoos in the bathroom and a selection of teas. The hosts have clearly put a lot of effort into making this a great place to stay and as a base for exploring the city or visiting. A dishwasher in the kitchen would be a bonus but that’s a very minor point in this overall fantastic property - will definitely return.

The hot tub was amazing with such a chilled environment. I used it for recovery after an ultra marathon, place was perfect! Also.a little bar area of you drink that was pretty cool! Great location next to all kinds of shops and restaurants if needed!

    We had a meal in the restaurant and it was good. It was a very convenient one-night stop over, meaning we were only about 25 minutes from the Stena Line Terminal at Birkenhead. There was plenty of free parking. The staff were friendly.

    very clean room in the cottages at end of car park, very quiet and roomy, lovely shower, comfy bed extra pillows, hotel was very smart and clean, friendly staff, breakfast was very good with good choices of fruit pieces, yoghurts, cereals and cooked options. just a few minutes off M53 and 20 mins from Liverpool city centre via tunnels, £2 each way.
