Comfy bed, lovely decor, immaculately clean, sweet little courtyard for breakfast. Friendly, helpful hosts. Gorgeous little town! Had dinner and watched the football at The Beehive, a cute and cosy pub 5 mins walk from Swallow Barn. Highly recommended! Next time we visit from Australia, will definitely be back x

We loved this stay! Clean and comfortable rooms with such lovely and welcoming hosts. Based on Angela's recommendation we walked to the local pub for dinner, and it was really nice. We were also charmed by the gorgeous view of a field from our window.

The room was more than adequate for me as a solo traveller. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within a short walking distance and the hotel is handy for trips to the northern lakes. The car Parking was good with adequate space and it felt secure.

We stopped overnight in Penrith on our way up to Scotland. No 3 was perfect for our needs. We had the family room, which is three single beds and that was ideal for us. Alison the host could not have been more friendly or helpful, and her cooked breakfast was excellent. There was even off street parking available, which we really appreciated. All round, a great place to stay.
