The staff were extremely helpful and kind. I had a fall, not on Ibis premises but on Lidls. The staff rang 999 and started to clean my head up where I had an "egg" that was also bleeding. The staff couldn't have been kinder.

We just stayed for one night at the Portishead Chef and Brewer on our travels. The family room was lovely and spacious with 3 good sized beds for the four of us to sleep in. The attached bathroom was gorgeous and very clean. The location was convenient for walking into the town for dinner, and for walking to the rocky beach behind the venue to look at the sea and over to Wales. The staff were very attentive to any needs as well. I would recommend staying here.

The owner's family helped us with walks around and other things, they even volunteered to help us at a point to get somewhere. So we found it a really familiar atmosphere and this made our short stay very nice.

Lovely property in a great location. Beautifully appointed and well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Gill and Seamus are perfect hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard. It was spotlessly clean and very cosy. The breakfast items, tea, coffee and milk were a real bonus. We will definitely be back.

    Spacious and quiet room, good long-distance views, good walking along the marina and locks to the Severn, staff always friendly and helpful, an adjacent Wetherspoons for good value breakfasts, only 20 minutes drive from Bristol, free parking in the adjacent Lidl car park.

    Very clean room and shower. Room overlooking marina. Free parking included but unclear where to park, as there is a supermarket adjoining the hotel. I asked the receptionist. You put your car registration into a gadget electronically, and you can then park anywhere in the large car park for 24 hours.
