    Great location. Parking free and right by our room. Friendly staff. Excellent evening meals - we had chicken kebabs, fish and chips, and Mediterranean tart. Breakfast is continental and had good range of foods to choose. WiFi fast and reliable. Decent sized smart tv’s in room.

    Location is central but quiet. The car park is at rear and the hotel accessed via a garden. Room was lovely and very atmospheric. I stayed here several times as a boy because my mum was evacuated to Presteigne during WW2. We came back to visit her host family. Little has altered. All the good things about the hotel remain, with wifi and upgraded rooms!

    Lovely old building with its own car parking at the rear. Our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and made our all too brief stay feel like we were amongst friends.

    Lovely old black and white historic 17th century building. Good location with free parking and everything within easy walking distance in the town. Quaint wood panelled public bar and stylish dining room. Friendly staff.

    We were made very welcome by the friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. Car parking was ample, and free for the guests. There was a large play area for children. The breakfast was sumptuous, with a choice of breads, juices, fresh fruit, tea / coffee. The hotel has a decently stocked bar where one could also enjoy a meal, along with drinks. All in all, it was a refreshing stay, although we just stayed for 1 night as we were visiting the Hay Festival nearby. A longer stay is recommended.
