It was clean and very comfortable, facilities were very good, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, food was excellent and reasonably priced. Travelling on my own with my dog can be difficult but the pub and staff made it easy, I would highly recommended it.

We only stayed for one night, as we were going to the Newark Showground, the following day. It was lovely! Excellent location, only 10 mins away from our destination. We were welcomed on arrival,and offered advice on nearby eating houses....The room was great, , the shower was lovely (girls remember your shower cap)as it was an overhead shower....Tea and coffee supplied...bed was so comfy! Breakfast was continental ,brought at the time,we requested...Nice & quiet ...would definitely stay again..

I had a lovely big double bedroom with a big en-suite bathroom. Everything was spotless. The host Bob met me on arrival and showed me around, and every day texted me to advise the names of fellow guests. Lovely big shared lounge. Nice shared kitchen which was fully equipped and a nice fridge which could also dispense nicely chilled water. Collingham is very nearby with many shops, 2 pubs and an excellent chip shop. It was pleasantly quiet. I will be happy to go back

Absolutely beautiful cottage with so many facilities it's impossible to mention them all, very big comfortable bed in a large airy room, beautiful large bathroom, large dining/TV lounge full of books and DVD's to use.magnificent kitchen full of hi tech equipment and lovely surroundings as well

    Great location for Newark showground events. Great big familiy room (blacksmiths), with 2 x doubles & 2 x single beds. Good beer and food, fantastic breakfast. Staff were Great, friendly and a nice traditional pub. Car park, beer garden with kids area. (We didnt use that being 4 x 60-somethings. Very good price.

    Set minutes off the A1 in a charming little village. Perfect for a stopover when driving. Car parking right outside my accommodation. Lovely pub with very friendly and helpful staff. As a solo femdle traveller was put at ease immediately. Room was great size and bed was amazingly comfortable....perfect after a long days driving. Perfect to unwind.
