The aesthetic nature of the hotel drew us in right from the start. The room were a comfortable bijou size, enough room to get around while encapsulating the pokey nature of old British buildings. The room was well decorated and well lit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the digital clock on the bedside table was a lovely added touch. The soaps in the bathroom were beautiful and very fragrant. There was a safe provided, free of charge, for valuables. This was located in a roomy wardrobe that also included bathrobes, extra pillows, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. There was an electric heater in the room if needed but we didn't!

    Staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. Facilities and room were comfortable and of high standard. Comfy bed and pillows. Everything felt clean. Breakfast was amazing, my hot chocolate was one of the best and the building itself was so well maintained and pretty, even in early March. Also choice of draught cider and beer in the pub was great. I genuinely want to revisit immediately. Free parking. Check out was at 11, later than most places.
