I was very happy to arrive at the warm and cosy Wilson Arms after a long rainy day hiking the Cumbria Way. The room with a beautiful view was very nice and I immediately felt at home. My personal highlight was the golden bathtub right in the room. Awesome! There were lots of gluten-free options for both breakfast and dinner, which is not always so easy for me when travelling. I would definitely stay here again.

We had lovely stay, really nice healthy breakfast buffet, fantastic views of their own grounds from the bedroom - and really interesting Victorian building with high ceilings in common area. The staff were really friendly

We were warmly welcomed at this traditional English style B&B. The rooms are delicately furnished and decorated. The breakfast variety was outstanding and the hosts were very kind and helpful. The setting in the countryside is very calm and peaceful with no disturbances at night. Good starting point for discovering the Coniston water area. We recommend to stay several nights to fully appreciate the accomodation and the area around. Thank you a lot!

    Location was excellent and the staff very friendly. There was plenty of off road parking and the food was excellent too. There is also a nice little deli shop next to the pub. We stayed in the Herdwick which was a cosy self contained apartment with everything you need.

    Beautiful location, ample parking friendly staff good food. Great selection of quality real ales. Dog friendly lovely scenery peaceful. Was not what we expected however very cosy underfloor heating was great. The bed very comfortable ( pillows not so good). The location was very good for travelling around the area.

    This is a nice pub with rooms above it, the room was neat and tidy, breakfast was really good and evening meals were great too. The location is handy for walks from the property and 5 minute drive to Coniston. The staff were all friendly and helpful even though they were run off their feet at busy times. Free parking at the front and in the car park behind so no messing about hunting for spaces like when staying in more central towns/villages in The Lakes.
