Wow what a beautiful location, the barn is stunning, nearly everything you need is supplied, the only thing you need to bring is, shampoo, bodywash and toothpaste, the hosts came and meet us after we had settled in and they were so welcoming. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a cosy break away, that you don't pass this up!!! Will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful holiday home to stay in. We loved it & didn’t want to leave! Everything is so new and done so beautifully it was all much appreciated. All the little things make the difference. We loved the telescope. Views are amazing. Bed was very comfortable Thankyou for the delicious fresh scones, lovely jam & cream and the fresh milk & drinks!

Well, everything!! The property is very nice with a most warm atmosphere, very well kept and excellently equipped with everything one could wish for. The location is stunning with great views on the surrounding landscape. I could live here ;o) We met the host the day after we arrived and she is the most pleasant and friendly lady one is ever like to meet. The chocolate cake and fresh eggs waiting for us on arrival really were the cherries on top of the cake. Driving up to the property can be a bit of a challenge with failing light at the end of an autumn day but luckily the village isn't big and the inhabitants are most friendly and helpful in giving directions.

Lovely B&B in a little peaceful village. Really comfortable bed and amazing full English breakfast in the morning. Very clean and the hosts were just great…so welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be staying there again.

    Higher Primrose Cottage is situated in the centre of a beautiful village called Winkleigh. Perfect for travelling distance for all over Devon, Cornwall, and further afield. Lovely and quiet with secure parking.

    The cottage was ideal for a few days’ break for my husband and I. The setting in the middle of the village was exactly what we needed, with two pubs, a village shop and a Post Offce within two minutes walk from the cottage. It’s beautifully furnished and has everything you could need. A welcome basket was a lovely touch, on arrival. Parking was a welcome bonus. Although I t could be a problem for some vehicles, our Suzuki Vitara fitted fine in the allocated space

    Excellent location in the village, and the parking included was a great advantage. Property was clean and well presented. Extra touches like the welcome gift and dog bowls etc. made it feel welcoming. Extra information provided in a folder was very useful.

    Self catering no breakfast!, so tihs part of question irrelevant, parking bit difficult but as house next door empty was ok , would be awkward otherwise and in season, position perfect in centre of village, so good Winkleigh is a proper working village but shame some shops closed down as for many such small places
