- We stayed in the upstairs room. There are only 2 rooms. - The room was very private, with great views of the local rice fields and mountains. - The bed is very comfortable , with good blackout curtains with quiet aircon with lots of opening windows for fresh air. - The bathroom and toilet were behind glass doors inside the room. Both were exceptionally clean and tidy. - We chose to have breakfast and dinner at our room - both were generous and tasty. Nyoman is a former hotel chef. - Tea and coffee were available free on request . - The pool was very refreshing after a day out with Wayan showing us the local waterfalls and nature walks. Wayan is very knowledgeable about what Munduk has to offer and is happy to answer all our questions. We enjoyed chatting with him. - We enjoyed the location within a village along with the usual village noises during the day and dawn and dusk.

We had a very nice stay in Villa Riang, located in Mayong, between Mundunk and the costal area of Lovina.. a very good location when you want to avoid the crowd. Splendid view from the terrasse with a nice refreshing little pool. Good local food prepared by Ria. In the next morning, we could enjoy the cultural walk with her husband Putu in the area, to meet the farmers and know more about Bali's rituals & plants. A perfect place to stop for those who want an authentic Balinese experience.

We stayed two nights in Umah Yugadi but we could have easily spent a week if not more. The area is amazing - very relaxing and with plenty of nature to enjoy. Ketut and Kadek made our stay even more special: their home stay is cosy, clean and immersed in greenery and they are two of the kindest people we met in Bali. They are always looking out for you and they want to make sure you have the best experience possible in Munduk. They even drove us to the jungle tour and made sure we found our scooter on the other side of the lake. On top of everything, breakfast is also amazing! This is a place we recommend staying at and one we would definitely return to if we are ever in Bali.

Everything really: beautiful place, awesome locations amidst the jungle and rice fields, lovely staff, good food, nice comfy bed in a dorm in a very typical Balinese setup, good inexpensive food and chances to rent a scooter, also possibility to book massages at a spa next door. It was the best accommodation I stayed in Bali. Wonderful scenery and friendly staff. Both the pouring stars and the quiet and beautiful village were the best. I highly recommend the spa that you can get outdoors in a private location. I'll definitely visit again.
