Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Our stay here was just wonderful. The chalet ıs located at an end, nestled besıde the raınforest. The monkıes joıned us for breakfast and you can hearthem jumıng on the roof from early mornıng. Our hostess, Tıa, was so hospıtable and frıendly. She had the most gorgeous lıttle kıttens who were so playful. Tıa organısed our guıde to come down and speak to us the nıght before our 1 day trek, so we had lots of ınfo ahead of tıme. ı absolutely recommend stayıng here. You can open the porch double doors and vıew the rıver from the 4 poster bed. There ıs also a hammock on the porch to relax on.

Amazing value for your money! Brian is amazing, he basically organized my entire trip around the area including a four day jungle trek, a ride to and from the elephant sanctuary, and shuttles around the city. The guides during our jungle trek were great, Rosit was clearly a very experienced guide and he made the trip very entertaining to say the least. Everyone else in the crew were great and very attentive and helpful.

Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

I had the most amazing stay at Lucky Bamboo, it had a really nice atmosphere and Jhonny was so kind and helpful in organizing the jungle trek. Kayla was an awesome guide for our trek, telling us all about the jungle, we saw so many orangutans, gibbons, monkeys etc. and had a lot of fun rafting back to Bukit Lawang. The food in the restaurant and on the trek was also amazing! Would highly recommend staying here!! Wish my stay was longer!

We had a great two night stay! The room was spacious and the AC worked great. The staff were so kind and helpful. The food was delicious (we liked the curry best) and very reasonably priced. We also signed up for a one day tour with them and we had a great day with 5 orangutan sightings led by our guides Jojo and Aldi. One evening some local guys came by to hang out and play some music. It was great singing along and getting to know the people of Bukit Lawang! It was also great that this didn’t go on late into the night and we still went to bed at a very reasonable time.

I stayed here after a trip in the jungle and I couldn’t have asked for better. Quiet, calm, lovely. Comfortable bed, good AC, excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was beautiful.

I stayed at the place for 2 nights, had a great tour with two guides working with the cheeky monkey. We saw monkeys, Orangutans(my two guides found them after about 2 hours of Trekking in the jungle), turtle, insects, plants, did a great tour for one day. Including rafting for about +/- 50 Euros/USD. The food in the cheeky monkey is quite expensive compared to other places in bukit lawang but it was really good. It definitely a recommendation, try the Gado-Gado - a vegetarian food. Chris from Austria
