Location is excellent, staffs including owner are very courteous and helpful.Food was also very tasty . During our Triund trek, we lost our way while returning in the evening, Mr. Namgyal helped us a lot including sending a car to Gallu devi temple at night .We have no words to express our gratitude to him and also the person who guided my wife in last part of trek and drove us to the hotel.

Spotlessly Clean hotel. It’s very close to the market square yet it’s tucked away in a corner and is away from the hustle bustle of the crowd. The staff are extremely professional, warm, proactive. If I requested anything they would address it immediately. Never had to ask them again. The rooms are so clean, the beds very comfortable and the coffee at breakfast was super! The owner is very hands on at the property, very interested in the well being of his guests. I highly recommend this place! It’s usually sold out so book well in time. They have a new hotel close by so one can get rooms there also! The gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice, gave us some good advice on shopping etc. very polite staff! Thanks! We will be back!

Not only does it boast an incredible location within walking distance to Tushita and stunning views, but the property itself is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Every morning and evening, we were treated to a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast and dinner that really set the tone for the day. What truly made our experience exceptional, though, was the warm hospitality. Pranav and his team went above and beyond to help us organize our trips, book taxis, and offered invaluable recommendations and advice that made our time in McLeod Ganj even more special. Our stay at Winterstone was superb. The Standard Double Room that we booked for a week was spacious, spotlessly clean and with very tasteful interior design - something that in my experience is a rarity in India. The bathroom was spotless and with enough hot water and water pressure to enjoy a refreshing shower. The location of the hotel is wonderful. You are close to everything but at a perfect distance, so that the noise of the life below does not bother your stay. The staff are also very helpful and professional. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the comfort of our room almost every morning. The the food and drinks offered at Winterstone are of utmost quality. We tried almost everything on their menu and found all of it made with genuine care; they catered to all of our requests when we wanted more or less spiciness in the food. All in all - I would reccomend Winterstone to anyone who needs a safe, clean and comfortable stay in Mcleodganj. I could not be more satisfied with my experience at Winterstone.

Rohit, the owner, and Rahul the caretaker, made me feel absolutely at home, which it is. It’s not a hotel. It’s a homestay cottage where I felt welcomed immediately, comfortable inside the spacious cottage room, and found rest sitting in the morning sun in the garden. It’s a place I could relax in. Breakfast is complementary and the dinner’s served are those cooked by Rohit’s wife and eaten by the family. Rohit was generous with his time in sharing ideas where to visit in Mcleodganj and Dharamsala. I recommend staying here. 5 stars.
