Kannan and his family are simply delightful, taking a personal interest in every guest. It's still a new venture, so as yet there's no sign out on the road, and you will have to call for final directions when you arrive at thenearestintersection. But they are kind and gracious, in addition to which they serve delicious meals (which is helpful because dining options in the immediate vicinity are limited). Also, the location is somewhat remote, which is a significant plus if you want to avoid tourist areas and experience the life of ordinary Indians on the Malabar Coast.

Amazing location next to one of the small rivers. The family is lovely and they cook amazing food. They don't live in the house, but they are very attentive and arrange any meal you need (the mum cooks really good!) any tour or train ticket. The house is in a quiet area, away from any road or noise.

Beautiful small place in a quiet part of the island. Vishnu and his family are great hosts. He recommended a restaurant and sent us to a temple festival. We can recommend doing the boat tour to see the sunrise. He also helped us with the next part of our trip. Breakfast was really tasty (especially the rice noodles). We also had dinner twice, which was simple and again really good.
