If you’re ever planning a trip to Srinagar, John’s Home Stay is an absolute gem that I highly recommend for families. Our stay there was nothing short of amazing, and much of the credit goes to the incredible hospitality of John Uncle and his son, Ali. From the moment we arrived, John Uncle’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Ali, his son, is equally amazing. He’s also an expert when it comes to planning tours across Jammu & Kashmir. He took the time to help us craft an itinerary that balanced famous spots with hidden gems, ensuring we could experience the true essence of the region on our next trip and the current one was on a no plan basis. He also provides a bike rental service (a great way to explore Srinagar and beyond!). Their genuine care and effort in making our trip memorable stood out throughout. From thoughtful recommendations on must-visit places to helping us with logistics, they truly made us feel like family. The staff were courteous and helpful at all times. The room was nice with comfortable bed and housekeeping was excellent. Food was amazing at the restaurant which has a great view. This is going to be our favourite hotel here in Srinagar.

Faisal was very helpful aand due to snowfall we were stuck in Kashmir but he made sure our stay was quiet comfortable and he did check on us each and every time. It is a very beautiful property and I would definitely recommend if someone is looking for it!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Olive Hotel in Kashmir, and it was an absolute dream. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt a sense of warmth and tranquility. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. My room was a cozy haven, with a super comfy bed and a stunning view of the mountains. I loved how the room was decorated with traditional Kashmiri touches, giving it a real local feel. The bathroom was spotless, and the fluffy towels and luxurious toiletries were a nice touch. The hotel's restaurant was a real highlight. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great mix of local and international dishes. I especially loved the Kashmiri Wazwan – it was a feast for the senses! The dining area itself was beautiful, with big windows overlooking the stunning scenery. One thing I really appreciated about the hotel was its location. It was close to all the main attractions, but still felt secluded and peaceful. It was the perfect base for exploring the beauty of Kashmir. Overall, my stay at the Olive Hotel was fantastic. It's a beautiful hotel with great staff, delicious food, and a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway in Kashmir.

The property Owner, Mr G.M. Najar Gulzar Sahab, was invaluable. We enjoyed our stay due to his hospitality and personal care in the guest house with a kitchen. It is a unique facility for a nine-month-old kid accompanying our 5 member team who requires homemade special diets. We admire the mission and vision of his service to tourists visiting Kashmir. Our visit was immediately after 22/4/2025 Pahalgam attack on tourists. But the people of Kashmir were very cooperative, including Mr Gulzar.

The owner of this property Mr Sadat is such a great help. Although I booked my room only a day prior to my visit, he somehow arranged rooms at his property for another 4 nights and also arranged all the tours and transfers for us on such short notice.
