RomaniaExcellent quiet location, comfortable beds, clean room, great breakfast and other hotel facilities (they do have an outdoor tub, but we didn't try it, maybe next time). Also we loved the little orangery where you can sit and have a snack and glance outside at the gorgeous Icelandic scenery. Should also be great for seeing the aurora. The hotel staff is great and provide you with excellent tips for your travels (we got a great tip on where to purchase real quality wool garments, thanks again!)

SwitzerlandThis is a perfectly located guesthouse as we could easily walk to most of the attractions, restaurants and shops in the town. The rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable and large beds, large bathroom/shower, fridge with coffee and tea and good black-out curtains. The guesthouse is in a residential neighborhood and was very quiet at night. The host was great - he lives next door and popped over as soon as he saw us arrive. In addition to our rooms, he also took us on a tour of the downstairs area which is amazing! There is a full kitchen, games room and living room for all guests to use. Plus, outside was a hot tub which we did enjoy. Our only regret is that we had just one night there - next time we'll be sure to book at least a couple of days.

The area is quiet, and there are plenty of parking spaces around. Even though the guesthouse looked almost fully booked, we never heard any noises from the other rooms. The room was quite pleasant, cosy and comfortable which made us feel at home. It had some nice amenities too, like a kettle and coffee/tea, which were replenished by the staff for the next day which was great.
