What an experience staying in two lovely quaint barrels. So unique. We love finding different places to stay. It was so warm and cozy inside the barrels with a lovely bathroom, and the outside shower room was spacious and very warm too, with lovely fluffy gowns. We had the place to ourselves so we didn't share the shower room. Sùsannah was so welcoming and responsive online. Such friendly dogs, and a brief sighting of the cat. And what a treat to sit in a hot tub under the stars looking at the Northern Lights when it was freezing outside! Our teenage just girls loved it! Wish we could've stayed longer.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Old School House. Honestly, part of me wants to gatekeep this place – but of course I won’t. As a half-Icelandic person, this has definitely become one of my new favorite spots to stay in the countryside. We loved the garden, which was open for everyone to use. We actually ended up staying in for both dinner and breakfast, even though we had plans to go out and eat at restaurants. But the garden was just too cozy – we couldn’t resist. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and had an amazing evening watching the sunset. The kitchen and bedrooms were super clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Iceland. Magnea and Greg were so lovely and welcoming. You can really feel that they care and want you to have the best stay possible. 10/10, would recommend!:))

    We stayed in one of the 3 little huts which felt nice and private. Because the room is small it heats up quickly and stays cosy. Lots of space to park the car outside. Lovely quiet countryside location.

    The apartment was very spacious, quiet and clean. There was easy parking just outside of the door. The main building was right across the parking lot. A selection of indoor shoes were left by the door, where there was a chair available to take off boots. The area around the buildings was open farm/fields, with great views for sunset/sunrise.
