Really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, the hostel is a nice quiet place to stay whilst visiting okayama. The train line is very close, and we felt very looked after, it was a shame we weren't here for longer. Had okonomiyaki from a local shop on their recommendation which was also very welcoming, and delicious!

This is a very nice hotel for a great price. The room was very spacious, quiet, had a comfortable bed and large windows. The bathroom is also very good. Very close to the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

My friends and I booked a stay at this out of the way house. We arrived in Kurashiki to a beautiful and well maintained house where our host Hideo gave us a guided tour. It was fun learning about the traditions involved in Japanese houses. After the tour, there was a fun scavenger hunt, and he gave us a traditional restaurant recommendation. In the morning, he also held a traditional tea ceremony. Hideo was a very friendly host, and he really made us feel welcome. He also went out of his way to help us. We would love to stay here again sometime in the future!
