Very comfortable room, amazing amenities - I loved the tea and coffee selection, as well as the beautiful ceramic tea set available, and having bath salts ready in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The common areas in the hotel were elegant, and the garden view from each floor added to the ambience.

It is a nice and comfy ryokan that is good value for money. The staff is wonderful and the amenities , although shared, are up to date and modern. The ryokan is situated in the modern area of town (near the modern art museum) and the shopping districts. There are a lot of quaint cafes and eateries that locals visit that are not bogged down with tourists. If you want a local hotel/ryokan that is good value for money, this is the place.

The hotel had the best location and had great attention to detail: the tea set, the sink, even a little gold leaf mirror in the bathroom and the complimentary japanese pastries. I really enjoyed seeing kanazawa in every detail of the room.

Half way through our month long journey through Japan, we had the luck to stay at Sunmoon BnB and it was our favourite accommodation by far. The rooms are clean and spacious, the host is the sweetest person you can meet. Being a host and taking care of his guests seems to really be his passion and the breakfast made by ingredients from his own farm was the best that we had in Japan. If you are not staying there, you are really missing out! Thanks a lot for having us!
