I loved everything about this stay. Very friendly and warm hosts, a really comfortable place overall. Iyo doesn’t have too much in the way of food, but they provided some toast and jam which was really nice of them. I’m especially grateful that they took me around the town when I unfortunately couldn’t make it to Cat Island. Beds were comfy futons.

Cold parts of breakfast were left in the fridge. The rice was ready in the cooker. I had to re-warm the soup myself. Very good!

We were lucky enough to spent a wonderful time with our host, who speaks english very well. She was very friendly and had enough time for us to show us all the amenities and our wonderful room. Use your time to look at her art and what she sells of it, she is very talented, we've got wonderful pieces that will always remind us of our time there. Perfect location close to onsen and shops and services, short walk from the tram and bus stops. They have elevators to the top that's a bit hidden, look for the little plaza with the cafe and foot bath place (behind the old dogo onsen). You'll need to buzz up the first time but after that you can use your room card. Service was top notch. Rooms with the balconies are worth it for the view. The sky spa/onsen is beautiful and big. They also have massage chairs in the changing areas. Tvs come with Chromecast. Lobby boasts vending machines with drinks (including alcohol) and the gift shop is cute. They had musical performances like piano in the evenings. Top notch.
