I loved everything about this stay. Very friendly and warm hosts, a really comfortable place overall. Iyo doesn’t have too much in the way of food, but they provided some toast and jam which was really nice of them. I’m especially grateful that they took me around the town when I unfortunately couldn’t make it to Cat Island. Beds were comfy futons.

We were lucky enough to spent a wonderful time with our host, who speaks english very well. She was very friendly and had enough time for us to show us all the amenities and our wonderful room. Use your time to look at her art and what she sells of it, she is very talented, we've got wonderful pieces that will always remind us of our time there. The hotel is perfectly located in Dogo Onsen with private access via elevator to the main shopping district. Everything looks brand new throughout the hotel and my room offered a balcony with spectacular views of Matsuyama with its Castle and the mountain range in the distance. The onsen on the top floor is very nice with an open-air bath and might be the best in the area. The staff was kind and helpful and the breakfast was just delicious. I also enjoyed the live piano evenings at the lobby.
