All staffs are very kind and they provided high quality of services. Onsen was great and also Kaiseki dinner was awesome and delicious. Stay at Okuno Hosomichi was an unforgettable time for us. The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

The breakfast was amazing. It was delivered to my room and had little plates of different things. The private onsen reservations were so lovely and outdoor so you can see into the garden. The staff was really helpful and would drive us anywhere in the town as part of the service.

Staff - Friendly and attentive. There was a lovely lady who remembers us and would check in on us on our stay and breakfast choice. Location - Pretty convenient. Lots of malls nearby so food and shopping are easily accessible. Room - Super spacious. The standout is definitely the bathtub - the best ever had!! Interior wise, you can tell this building has been around for a while, which depending on your taste see it as dated or grand. We see it as a plus because we don't see this sort of interior much, and it's a nice change!

Absolutely everything was fantastic from start the finish. The staff worked hard to provide us with a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable, of particular note the massage chair was fantastic. The Onsen itself was warm and comforting, and having a Sauna in addition to it was a nice touch. Both meals we had, Breakfast and Dinner were absolutely delicious. Additionally, it's quite an easy walk from the train station compared to other Onsens in the area, so if travelling with a lot of luggage it could be a good option.

If I dreamt up the perfect room, this would be it! I loved : the # of wastebaskets, the controls for the lights and curtains, the toilet, the automatic closing bathroom door, the room’s small amenities, which felt very luxurious and nice, the storage closet, sauna, and hot spring/ tub/shower room- absolutely everything. Every detail of the room has been thought out. Thoughtful design, purposeful and functional layout and mechanisms, and it all looked and felt so luxurious.
