Everything about my stay was amazing - the hosts were so lovely and hospitable (made me tea and breakfast, gifted me an umbrella, drove me to the bus station in the morning), and the room was great. Way bigger than a standard Japanese inn, and the bathroom had great amenities too. I enjoyed going to the local shrine, and sitting outside the hostel to enjoy the peaceful nature. I would love to stay again.

Very cozy accommodation with everything you need. We really enjoyed the food and cocktails in the bar. I asked the barkeeper for a surprise cocktail creation and got one of the best cocktails I've ever had.

Let me start with an advise; when you come to Japan go to Kyushu and stay in this hotel. My wife and I enjoy our last evening here (we stayed 5 nights) and this hotel is excellent. The location, the room (we stayed in the suite), the food, but most of all the excellent staff. The staff make you feel welcome, the service is warm and personal, yet professional at the same time. They know who you are from the moment you arrive. One of the best performances we experienced and we travel a lot. My wife has a rare allergy and they provided special meals for here. Exceptional. The hotel is also very clean and is recently renovated. The onsen in the room and the public one are comfortabel / beautiful. The location is perfect to visit Mount Aso, Kumamoto, Beppu, Oita, Takachiho gorge et cetera. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Meals were excellent, and the staffs were very courteous. The facility was beautiful, especially at night time with the landscape lighting on. I really like the big van that they used to transport us to see the Kagura.

Our stay was perfect! We decided to enjoy the beauty of Aso a bit longer and booked the house quite late, but everything went great. The host was very kind and communicated with us in English. When we arrived, it felt like visiting parents in a cozy country home — we felt so comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! Thank you for the warm welcome and a lovely stay — we and our kids really enjoyed it.

It was pretty clean and well kept. It was very comfortable and cosy there and beautiful location in a forest. The manager is very helpful and nice and has some very cute dogs!
