The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived after the hotel restaurant had closed and the manager was so concerned that we wouldn't have something to eat for dinner that he personally drove us into town to a local restaurant. Our Japanese style room was relaxing with a beautiful view and by the end of our very short trip to Taiji, it felt like the staff were our good friends. Looking forward to returning.

The temple and it's garden has very unique peaceful atmosphere. The people were very kind and we could get interesting information about Buddhism during the zazen and breakfast experience. I recommend this accommodation if you want a break from the rat race.

This hotel is like paradise! They have a private ferry to shuttle you to the hotel and when you get there, the staff are on top of assisting you with bags and anything. Rooms are a bit of a walk from the lobby (around 2-5 mins) but once you get there, you're greeted with an amazing traditional spacious tatami room and a breath-taking view. Their onsen is great too, with a huge selection of shampoo and conditioner, spacious locker area and bathing area, and an outdoor onsen as an option. Their package breakfast and dinner are also amazing, where you'll experience very traditional Japanese food. You can have a morning walk on their mountaintop, which you can access through the roof deck. There's a small shrine also to pay respects and you can watch dolphins jump around the ocean while fishing with a rented fishing rod.

Lovely owners, with great English! We were there to see the Nachi waterfall which was a great location to do this! We had also hired a car and they were very accommodating with parking ! Would definitely recommend x

The house was spotless and had all the necessary amenities for a very comfortable stay. We loved that it’s a fusion of traditional Japanese and modern interior decor. Looks like it has just been done up. All the appliances look new. Our host is a lovely lady who showered our child and us with omiage and treats. Wish we could stay longer!

The owner personally drove us back to the station and was super friendly and hospitable. Would really recommend this place for anyone staying around here in Nachikatsuura. Bonus points for having a family mart right next door.
