Old house with not simply vintage style but real details. Love all the furniture and the wood stove at first sight. Nobu welcomed us with some nice herbal tea. She speaks fluent English and we had some nice conversations. She also recommended and gave us a ride to a nice public bath. What we cherished most is the special visit to Mr. Kawanaka, the local artist. It’s our pleasure to meet him and appreciate his artwork. Truly memorable journey. Thank you!

We loved everything!!! Stayed with my sisters so we have the whole cottage to ourselves! The accommodation itself is well taken care of, despite it being 70 years!!! We only stayed for one night but will definitely come back and stay longer next time. The place was well equipped for cooking, and there's a mini market about 5 mins drive. I would say it's a good size for family and a group of friends. View-wise you're basically surrounded by well taken care of rice fields! If you love nature and peace and quiet, you won't regret staying here. We were blessed with a beautiful weather in late June and was able to see the beautiful Hoshitouge rice terraces at sunrise. Maiko was also well-versed in English so we were able to converse well and gave us lots of recommendations of where to go and what to do in the area. It's in the countryside so I will definitely recommend renting a car. Can't wait to come back!!!

Amasing place with gentle owners, nice and cute japanese vintage style, bright rooms with yukatas, beautiful onsen space with clear hot water, near the nature with excellent connection with City Center by bus or walking, big 7/11 convenient store near.     Was awesome to meet the owner we helped and guided us on how to use the heater and let us know about the 160year old history of the house. It was very interesting! The house is very rustic, has a full kitchen and has ample parking for 2-3 cars. The dinner arrangement with the local artist was amazing and fun! Not to mention this place is like 5mins away from kiyotsu gorge. I highly recommend this place!
