Hotels with Parking in Usujima

This was our highlight of Toyama and possibly all of our Japan trip. The guest house is very comfy and the decor delightfully quirky. Yoko and her husband are beautiful people and I wished we could stay longer. If you are travelling near Toyama, please book here

Absolutely loved the whole experience, from meeting the lovely host to spending the night in this beautiful house. Very convenient when driving across central Honshu.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to stay at this amazing property. The owner Sayuri and her family are incredible and kind hosts. The town itself is beautiful to walk around to and to shop for souvenirs, and our entire stay (2 nights) were a wonderful opportunity to authentically experience a slice of traditional Japanese culture away from busy tourist destinations. We used the house as our base to explore Kanazawa and Shirakawa-Go by car - there is free parking nearby the property and we found the surrounding area beautiful. Sayuri recommended us many restaurants and places to visit based on our preferences including an amazing Yakitori restaurant about a 10min drive away. When we arrived we were very lucky to have our accommodation upgraded due to the property being free and it was DIVINE! It is finished to a incredibly high standard and we loved the beautiful tatami mat rooms, the wonderful hinoki bath to experience a private onsen overlooking the lovely courtyard garden. We slept so well and felt so looked after. It feels like we hit the jackpot finding this place and experiencing it. By the end of the trip Sayuri felt like a friend and we can’t wait to return in the future. We were pleasantly surprised to recieve a choice of welcome drink and have a traditional breakfast included. After we checked out Sayuri invited us to have coffee in the main building which is also incredibly beautiful and stylish, it’s like stepping back in time. She also owns a clothing store next door, repurposing old and beautiful kimono into a range of clothing and accessories of which we bought a few items and will treasure them for years to come.

The mountain room view was large and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly - the view amazing. Would have stayed longer had itinerary allowed. If staying longer than one night check the rules re luggage and leaving it in the room whilst out - my vague recollection is you have to take your luggage and they cant store it... but I could be wrong. But a great place to stay and its on bus route 31 from bus bay 5 from Toyama Station - takes about 20 mins. You can order great food at the hotel all day and the free breakfast - I had curry - was really very good. And drinks in the foyer are all free. Really nice place to dtay but not a lot around if l

We appreciated the prompt check in when we arrived. The front desk employees communicated with us in our language of English which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were visibly clean as was the entire hotel. Breakfast was pretty good! The eggs were especially delicious.

JAL hotel is amazing and has exceeded our expectation. The room was nicely sized but even better thing is that it was designed for practical use. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has a sperated shower and a bathtub glassdoor up from the toilet and sink area- pretty big comparing to the standard Japanese hotel bathroom size. The breakfast was great, many option foods ranging from traditional to classic American breakfast.

Very comfortable. Fresh air inside. Looks like home.
