I’ve rarely seen so many smiling people as in this village. Yup this is the real deal. The off the beaten track all the hipsters are talking about. And the good news. They’re not here! But you can be. Charitha runs the place. Together with his mom and dad and helped by others from the village. He has plans and damn I hope it pays off. Need anything? They’ll hook you up. Off course the boat safari. But also an afternoon hike with his friend ashanka ❤️ yes even a pedicure. The food from his mon is excellent. Like the hotel and the village: nothing fancy but damn tasty As always, everybody gets five stars

When you enter the place , it is out of the world. The owner came and welcomed us. When we entered the villa we’ve been greeted with a special freshest passion fruit juice. The outside shows a beautiful garden and a large Infiniti pool. But the highlight is the lake. Then at night they arranged traditional Sri Lankan food which was very tasty, the staff was very friendly with a highly qualified chef. Next morning we could enjoy the swimming pool and made after delicious breakfast the pontoon on the lake in front. We will come definitely back and stay longer !

My family (including teenage boys) and I had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming and produced a delicious supper and breakfast for us. We were positively surprised by the beautiful setting - if I could post some photos on this site, I definitely would! The property is surrounded by beautiful palm trees, wonderful fruit trees around the back and amazing spices, as well as a luscious green paddy field, all of which the host kindly showed us. The property is opposite a very pretty river and not far from the Gal Oya lake safari start. Would definitely recommend!
