We booked this hotel for the only purpose of visiting the Aukana Buddha statue. The hotel is ok for the area, which is not well-equipped to handle foreign tourists. The rooms were large but many things in the rooms were broken, especially in the washrooms. As long as we had working AC we were happy for one night. We didn’t have high expectations from this hotel, but the price could be reduced to reflect the true value and condition of the rooms and other facilities, like restaurant and pool, which were not well staffed or comfortable.

Absolutely incredible experience - a quiet, nurturing, caring place just 5 minutes of the main road. We were treated like royalty by all staff of this amazing gem - Athreya Ashram. Everything you can imagine to be in a 5 star resort was here, but in a smaller, more personal way. Dr.Thilaxi recommended all the Ayurveda treatments we can benefit from. Super chef-cook Nuwan - made the best roti and curries and best spicy daal. We are sure to return and already miss our morning yoga practice and personalized local trips, arranged by Dr. and Fonseca. Thank you!!

Amazing place. The staff really looked after us. Ishan the manager was truly helpful and polite. We had a small private pool for ourselves and it felt like a great relaxing holiday.

Il Frangipani is idealic. We arrived late from Colombo but on arrival we were greeted so warmly. The room was beautifully decorated, beds comfortable and a great bathroom. The grounds are gorgeous with a pool ideal to cool off in after climbing Lion Rock. Breakfast was delicious from eggs, to delicious fresh fruit and coconut pancakes. The staff were so helpful and we wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this boutique hotel. It exceeded all expectations.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hosts were extremely polite and kind to us. They made us welcome drinks and showed us to our rooms. The rooms had fridge and cosy lighting. I loved the garden feels. The owner of the property is a good host. He arranged drivers to go Dambulla, Anudrahapura and Pollonnawura. He made discount for village tour. Also, he takes us to Spa center with his tuktuk.

We had a great stay here. This place is brand new so the rooms are clean,bed is comfy and shower is great for a cheap price relative to what you get. They have a pool also, which is critical as sigiriya is very hot and you need to cool down sometimes. Breakfast had everything you need, The staff was very attentive and friendly. The location is good, not that far from the rocks and has restaurants in a walkable distance Wifi signal was a bit slow
