A beautiful boutique style hotel with beautiful clean rooms and comfortable beds, a luxurious bathroom and a chef who makes delicious food. Very friendly, attentive, helpful, hardworking staff who will go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. I couldn’t find Nutella in the shops at any of the previous hotels we stayed in. When tree of life contacted me to remind me of my booking I asked them did they know where I could find Nutella anywhere in Sri Lanka. Within one hour the hotel bought it and had it ready for my daughter on her arrival. THis kind gesture made her whole trip. Great job!!!

cosy but spacious ac’d rooms with a flower flanked balcony. very clean facility in general including a groomed garden entrance. the hosts greeted us very warmly with flower necklace and a coconut welcome drink. the breakfast was also great and actually way too much but a takeaway bag was already prepared. in general the atmosphere stayed as good, when we arrived and we’ve also been driven to and picked up from a nearby restaurant.

Pradeep and Ruchira are amazing host. We had great conversations of history, culture, traditions with Mr Pradeep. He is one man army who takes excellent care of the entire property and its residents - Kudos to the brilliant effort and maintenance of the property - Breakfast served was excellent with Sri Lankan flavors - they serve both Sri lankan and English breakfast based on your preference. Pool was in excellent condition too - Mr Pradeep also helped me getting food/drinks delivered for dinner. Continuous supply of hot water 24/7 and excellent AC in rooms which cools down the room quickly. Although all rooms are fantastic and has its own vibe/style, i liked the one on the 1st floor facing the pool with a beautiful balcony- It had a small kitchen with stove/gas with all utensils/pans required to cook , electric water kettle. Overall, i would visit the property again and again and again if I'm in bentota. Mr Pradeep is an amazing host. Not to forget Mr Harinda, who took us to an unforgettable River Boat safari which lasted to 2Hrs 15 min - We started early at 745 AM to reach bentota river by a tuk-tuk ( Mr Pradeep arranged this for us - 8 min drive, very close to the property ) i cant commend Mr Harinda enough for his service, patience and excellent skills to find miniature creatures in mangroves - We did both Madu river boat and this ( Bentota river ) and the service to value for money ratio from Mr Harinda is by far the best between the two - Mr Harinda is available on watsapp ( +94 784599117 ) . While completing the safari, the boat will reach Mr Pradeep's property directly

This family-run compound, set off the main road and nestled in the forest, is an absolute delight. The staff, including all family members, are friendly, warm, and happy to help with whatever you need. The food is fantastic; it is all homecooked, and they will facilitate whatever you want. We are both vegetarian and the food that was provided was the best we had eaten in Sri Lanka. The nearby beach, accessible by free tuk-tuk ride, is simply the most magnificent, untrammelled beach I have ever seen. Spotless, golden sands, warm blue water and stunning scenery. The rooms are enormous with comfortable beds, clean (outdoor!) bathroom and a lovely porch. The entire resort was spotless. We spent 11 days in Sri Lanka in total, across a range of different style accommodations, 5* to 2* hotels and this was easily the best place we stayed.

I had a wonderful stay at this private luxury cottage near Galle. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, served in a peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of birds and stunning nature views. I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

We had a great time at Sakuna Resort. Our group had six people. The staff welcomed us warmly. It was worth the price. The manager was very friendly, like a friend. We had a nice talk with him. The food was delicious. We enjoyed a BBQ night. The pool made the place even better. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature.
