Great jungle atmosphere, you literally hear only the sounds of jungle while sleeping. The owner Tarique was amazing, helped us with everything and gave us great tips not only for Safari in Wilpattu, but also for travels around Srilanka. Also, the dinner was to die for, the best one we had in Srilanka. The location is perfect, just a short tuktuk drive away from Wilpattu national park.

Fantastic place to stay for so many reasons. The hotel itself feels really like a safari camp with wild animals and birds all around, there are monkeys and squirrels in the gardens. Each room is very private down a small path from the main dining room. The rooms are absolutely huge and wonderfully decorated. They have a large comfortable more-than-double bed and are well equipped with a fridge, air-conditioning and ceiling fan, hot and cold shower, tea and coffee making facilities, towels and robe. The room had huge windows overlooking the forest and its own private terrace and plunge pool perfect for cooling off after a long day. We had a sri lankan style breakfast which was delicious and we ate 2 nights at the hotel. I would highly recommend the seafood bbq, so much yummy food! The hotel is situated perfectly for safari as it is right next to the entrance to the national park so only 2 minutes in the tuktuk to get to the entrance. They packed us breakfast, lunch and snacks. Priyashantha joined us for the day and was fantastic at taking us to the best places to spot the wildlife. He brought along binoculars and books to show us the birds and animals we had seen. The jeep itself has a roof to keep cool in the heat of the day on the full day safari. I would highly recommend the friendly and caring staff, the beautiful peaceful surroundings and the very comfortable rooms.

The location is very close to the National Park. It is only about 8 minutes by Tuk-Tuk which they kindly organised for both our safaris. Leopard Inn arranged our tour of Wilpattu National Park at a reasonable price and our onward transport. Prathap could not have been more attentive even giving us cushions for our comfort on our safari. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked as it should. The accommodations that we chose were self contained cabins beside a river. Opposite there is some building work at the moment but it did not disturb our peace. We had a take away breakfast which was adequate. The pools are tiny plunge pools and very refreshing after a day's safari

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay at Raalmadu Wilpattu. The safari experience was absolutely amazing, and the natural surroundings made it truly special. The hotel manager, Kuma, took excellent care of us and always made sure we felt welcome and looked after. The room was simple and rustic, but that’s exactly what you would expect in the middle of the jungle — it added to the charm and authentic feeling of the place. The only small downside was that the private pool next to our room wasn’t usable at the time. However, they are currently building a larger pool, and we are sure it will be fantastic once it’s finished. Overall, we can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique jungle experience with warm hospitality and unforgettable safaris!

Riswan and his family are so hospitable and proud to introduce you to wonderful Sri Lankan food, traditional life and wildlife. A very peaceful setting next to the river and rice paddy fields. Monkeys played in the tree beside my treehouse, and I could watch fishermen patiently catch fish from my balcony. Everyone is so friendly. I took a nice walk to a wetland area just 15 mins walk and saw birds, monkeys and a mongoose. Riswan will arrange everything for you - meals, transport, food, safari, its all very easy, just let him know what you want. A very special thanks to "Auntie" for her amazing coffee, so no worries if you crave caffeine, strong, black, sweet and delicious.

A Perfect Start to Our Sri Lanka Adventure – Moni Farmhouse, Wilpattu Our stay at Moni Farmhouse in Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. The staff was amazong, they tried absolutely everything to do an excellent work and were always ready. No matter what you needed, they always tried to help you. The resort is in a very quiet area and has a nice clean pool with a pool bar.
