Jansen is a peaceful, comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and welcome. By far the best part was the pool and the forest views from the bedrooms. Very peaceful, I'd be happy to stay again.

This small lodge is a great base for bird and nature lovers. It is about 2km from the entrance of the world famous Singaraja Rain Forrest. You can even see the endemic famous Sri Lanka Blue Magpie in the early morning on the hotel grounds. We enjoyed the food. The owner can arrange a guide for the birding tour. We loved the tour with the guide.

What a wonderful place and a great adventure. We love the location, the little house is super clean, no mosquitoes and the best natural swimming pool. The food is amazing and the owners very sweet and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it to the moon and back. Highly recommended. Also the organized guided tours delivered more than we could hope for.

One of the best stays ever, the family is very welcoming, helpful and nice, they took great care of me, always available through Whatsapp to assure my smooth arrival, the property is gorgeous, the scenery overlooking rice paddies is amazing, the room is clean and comfortable. The meals prepared by Umesha are delicious and the tour by Saman is great! Loved my stay here and recommend this property with closed eyes.

The view from our patio was breath taking, and the glass doors looking out at the view made it even more special, because it feels like you are close to the jungle even indoors. You get to see several species of birds right from there in the mornings. Saman, our host was very accommodating and his brother Pradeep took us on our jungle tour and we had a great time. There’s a hotel close by where you can pay to use the pool as well.

We had a wonderful time at Sinharaja Forest Lodge! The room was very comfortable and clean, with a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!

Staying at Sinharaja Rainforest Vibe was a wonderful experience. We had our own cozy villa just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance to Sinharaja Forest, which made it the perfect base for exploring the area. The owner, Danushke, is an experienced guide who organized amazing jungle treks for us, and he was always ready to help with anything we needed – from arranging transport to personally driving us himself. The meals were delicious. Together with his wife and sister, he went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay. A warm and genuine hospitality that made our time here unforgettable.
