What a great hotel! The hotel has a fantastic staff and an awesome rooftop garden with beautiful pools and a hot tub. The bar and restaurant have great cocktails and food at reasonable prices. The public beach entrance is 1km away. Head right from the hotel and turn left on the second roundabout.

This property has a wonderfully relaxing ambiance that comes from Virgilio himself to start with and then also from the staff and customers, many of whom seem to be regular guests. Breakfast is served outdoors and is a great opportunity to meet fellow guests, swap tales of where to go and generally share our varied (mostly Canadian) backgrounds and make new friends. Although we have previously travelled from Britain to this area of Mexico five times we previously stayed in all inclusive hotels and much prefer Casa Virgilios as a base as you can try local restaurants and explore more.

The host was excellent. Very quick to reply. Convenient garbage pickup every day and water pickup every second day. Pool and outdoor areas were excellent and usually very quiet. Quiet at night to sleep. House was very nice and roomy for 6 people. Markets and pharmacies close by with excellent produce, bread, and all essentials. Excellent doctor and dentist close by.
