Shortly after booking a room Shardul reached out to us and provided us with travel information. Once in Nepal our plans changed and Shardul was very helpful in picking us up and accommodating us an extra night. Upon arrival we immediately felt very welcomed and comfortable at this lovely homestay! Everyday Shardul and his family provided us with delicious Nepali meals made from the fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. Thanks to the preparation and attention to detail there was always enough variety of food even on the long safari days. Our absolute highlight in Bardia was going on jeep and walking safaris with Shardul himself. With his professional experience and a bit of luck on our side, we were fortunate to spot the elusive tiger! Shardul’s competence in his profession and passion for wildlife conservation made us feel safe while out in the jungle. We regret having to leave and hope to be back in the future! Thank you Shardul + Family for you kind and warm hospitality!

The entire team, comprised of dedicated local workers, demonstrated a sincere passion for wildlife conservation.The highlight of my stay was the guided jungle walk with Baba, an exceptionally skilled guide and photographer. His professionalism and ability to capture stunning wildlife moments left me in awe. Baba's dream of creating awareness about wildlife and its importance to people is truly commendable.This retreat is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, offering not just a comfortable stay but also a chance to connect with nature in a meaningful way. A beautiful place! The garden is lovely and the rooms look great. We were in the jungle with the owner, Papu, for many days. He is a very skilled guide with excellent English, who doesn't only have a lot of knowledge of the animals and plants, but also cares about safety and the wellbeing of the animals we observed. We were very lucky to even see two tigers on different days with him. I really appreciated his knowledge of birds too. Very happy to have had you as our guide Papu!

Lovely authentic and green place with cottages. The houses are spacious and clean. Can't wish for a more friendly and helpful staff! The host Krishna helped us with anything we wanted, from the excursions, visiting a treehouse, the park and having up to date information about the buses. The balcony of the main building has a beautiful view on the park and river. From here you can enjoy the nature, spot the elephants, monkeys and crocodiles. Moreover, the freshly cooked breakfasts and dinner were a delight, which made it a very relaxing stay.

This hotel is great. My room had a own bathroom and balcony. For this low price it is amazing! Also the restaurant served delicious dishes (breakfast/lunch/dinner). The garden is big and has many trees and places where you can take rest. At the end the location: The property is in front of the national park. I could book a 2-day safari tour from this hotel too.

Everything was perfect ! First the staff is amazingly friendly and we would like to thank you again Sonja, Buddhi and Manmohan. The cleaning lady and the rest of the staff were also very nice and helping. The room itself looks better than the pictures and was very confortable. Since they provide free filtered water, meals and card payements it is not a problem to be a little bit away from the village. If you still need to go there it is a 20-25 min walking distance. The big bonus of the stay is the fire place which encourage all guests to talk and share their adventure ! The meals were very good with reasonable prices and large choice. Finnaly, the hosts organised 3 days of safari (both jeep and walking) in Bardia and it was truly thé best experience of our lives (not kidding) for very reasonable prices (even for quite low backpackers budgets like us). We want to give a last special thanks to Manmohan which was our incredible guide for this adventure. Thank you again for being so nice and helpful with us. We really hope that we will come back one day 😊

The room was large and comfortable with a veranda to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful garden. The garden was lovely and so relaxing, full of flowers, plants and butterflies. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and even included us in their family Tihar celebrations. We really enjoyed the safaris and saw a tiger!

The time at Mr. B's was just awesome! When you visit Mr. B's it is more like family than being a guest! They were super friendly and helped us where they could. With the amazing guides we did some trips (jungle walk, jeep safari,) Mr. B organized for us.We saw tiger and rhino and big group of elephants.Also the food was the best I had ever in Nepal. And the accommodation is just amazing: Nice room, a beautiful garden, the river and just 2mins walk to the entrance of the National Park. Mr. B's place is definitely worth going to! I just HIGHLY recommend going there!
