Really nice place, I recommend ! As a chef the kitchen was perfect, everything you need to cook + breakfast included with everything as well. The bedroom and bathroom are really clean as the rest of the house is The 2 people taking care of that place are really nice Bonus : there’s a LOT of good movies if you like cinema you’ll be happy :)

love the cosy place with nature around it. there is food and drinks right at the motel, no need to travel. Read review that food is expensive but I think it is reasonable given the convenience! Kim and John are so nice and chatty. The only regret I have is I only stayed one night! should have been a couple of days!

    Amazing place to stay. Very friendly owners. Rooms are very clean and big. Being on the main road it was very quiet. Off street parking and very secure. Definitely recommend staying, don't drive that extra distance.

    Great location, walkable distance to the shops and restaurants. Very modern, amenities and fixtures are nice and now and look great. Also has a laundry to wash and dry clothes and ample large parking spaces.

    Easy to locate the property. When arriving the hotel reception was lovely and engaged in conversation regarding our stay and our trip in NZ. The car park is huge, easy to park and get luggage in and out of the car. The room we were given (unit 16) was amazing, massive 2 bedroom unit. The bedrooms were spacious, the bathroom had the biggest shower I have experienced in a hotel with enough draw space. Once we left this property, we wish we had stayed longer!

    Highly recommended both prior to and following any of the walks and rides in the surrounding area. Clean and comfortable, lots of space to sort out our gear. A little luxury after 5 days on the Old Ghost Road. Secure parking. Right in the middle of town - hearty food at pub and Rivers Cafe. Hard to fault

    Philip and Daphne were fantastically friendly and helpful hosts. The lodge is spacious and super clean with great off-street parking for our classic car. It provides a tranquil environment yet just off the main road so is easy to find and easy to get into town. There was only one other couple staying and it was excellent to be able to chat to them. The complimentary cookies for guests was a nice touch and with a full shared kitchen, you were lacking for nothing.
