Large and spacious room, beautiful comfortable bathroom. The room is equipped with a coffee machine and 3 capsules per day. The location of the hotel is central. The breakfast is excellent and varied. In the evening you can sit in the lobby and listen to a different player play the piano, saxophone or guitar every day. For a hotel parking that costs 12 euros per day, they will let you park on a nearby street at a cost of half a euro per hour, this is better because most of the day you travel the island by car.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The interior is stunning, the courtyard is perfect, and the location is excellent with free parking nearby. The breakfasts were amazing – we looked forward to them every morning! In the evening, the restaurant was even more delightful – we highly recommend visiting. But the most wonderful part was the staff – they made us feel completely at home.

This beautiful small hotel is a jewel. The location is wonderful and the property is a mini-botanical garden right next to the one that gives it it's name (dos Cantos). The staff are superb; cheerful and accommodating, knowledgeable and helpful. Fabio and Miriam assisted us in many ways with suggestions for outings, making reservations, helping plan routes and answering any questions we might have. There was staff on-hand 24 hours per day. Both the rooms and the public spaces show off the lovely features of the hotel. We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending the Solar Dos Cantos to travellers to Ponta Delgada.

- A warm welcome by the owner with a tour of the property and a bit of history of the place, as well as tips on places to visit. - Great facilities: everything was impeccably clean, organized, and of beautiful design. You can see that even the smallest details are well-thought-of and put effort in. - The breakfast was fantastic: every product was of high quality and super fresh, you can also order something like eggs a la carte to be cooked for you. - Our studio had everything we needed and had quality finishings and furniture, everything you looked at was pleasant to the eye. I cannot think of anything to add to the room, as it was just great. - The property had a swimming pool and jacuzzi. We did not use it as we did not have much time, but we saw that it was clean and taken care of. - The location is good, with just a short drive from the center. The secured parking is very convenient. The check-in and check-out process is simple, as well as using the electronic entrance with a key instead of cards and keys. I think it is the first time I have rated a property as 10 out of 10, but this one exceeded our expectations. We wish the owners success with the project that they put so much passion into!

Amazing clean apartment with huge bathrooms. We booked a one bedroom however they upgraded us to the two bedroom apartment because of the children - we really appreciated this! Friendly reception staff. The apartment is new, with a huge balcony. Secure parking garage. They even serve breakfast so it’s like a luxury aparthotel. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very comfortable. Location was perfect, in the center so easy to walk around and access. Breakfast was nice and freshly made. The bar makes great cocktails! Staff were super friendly and really made my stay. Front of house helped me organize some trips and spots to visit in the nearby area. But staff in all areas were great and very welcoming. Felt safe and well looked after, which was nice as I was traveling by myself.

    Very clean- towels changed daily. Location was ok, a little out of the centre- 15 minutes walk-but quiet despite being right on a busy road junction. Free parking on street outside or paid parking in an open air parking lot across the road. Staff were great- very friendly and helpful, English spoken. Breakfast included. Good air conditioning.

    We chose this place for the central location and free parking. Both were great. The hire car was very safe in the car park and it was a quick 15 minutes walk into centre of Ponta Delgada. The breakfast was excellent and you can eat outdoors if there is space. Unlike other reviews we found there was always plenty of food and choice. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was spotless. The aircon was very much needed and worked well. The shower and bathroom were lovely and plenty of hot water. We loved our stay. It suited all our needs.

    Beautiful space, comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom, nice decor, lovely patio, full kitchen, laundry, AC/heating, drying rack, etc. Surprise pack of goodies on arrival covered our first breakfast as well as some treats. Great communication with host. Great location for walking in Ponta Delgada. No stairs! Street parking if you can find it but free parking lot very close. Try the snack bar on the corner. We had delicious fish soup for €2.
