The view from the hotel is breathtaking, the hotel park and surrounding really well kept with beautiful gardens. The restaurant was really good with authentic Portuguese food at a really good price and the breakfast the next day was really complete and fresh. The staff was very kind, they could accommodate the breakfast 30 min earlier since we needed to leave early. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was really helpful and gave great info and directions on the area. We had dinner both nights at the hotel and it was all really good. The view from the room is amazing and the area around the hotel is really quite.

I just had the best time at this amazing hotel! The staff's hospitality was top-notch. They welcomed us with a drink and showed us around the hotel. It was my husband's birthday, so the hotel made it super special by giving us a nicer room! Also, the staff set up fun things for us to do, like a boat trip and wine tasting at a nearby winery, which I highly recommend! The hotel has an outdoor heated pool and an indoor pool with saunas. Perfect for chilling out. And the breakfast was seriously the best ever – so many tasty choices! To sum it up, this hotel rocks! The staff is awesome, the food is great, and the place itself is just so cool.

Everything was very nice. I can highly recommend this place. The staff was amazing. I highly recommend taking the ebikes, a fun and impressive way to visit nearby areas. The spa is also highly recommended. We felt taken cared of all the time, and everything was thought out down to the last detail. And the views!! Wow! We hope to come back!

The VIEW! The garden with an orange tree to make juice. Comfortable beds. Large and we'll equipped kitchen. Owner made port and red wine. Pellet fired water heating system. The friendly owners of the market across the street who opened the store for us during their dinner. The owner came to greet us with his friendly dog after we checked in and his recommendation for Daniel Ferreira for a private day tour in Douro.

The Douro Valley is beautiful and there are certainly some lovely places to stay. However, the hospitality and helpfulness of our hosts, the beautiful and thoughtful decor of this accomodation, the perfect blend of traditional and modern of each single room are hard to beat, as well as the lovely and wonderful breakfast. As a bonus, John recommended the perfect drinks for dinner.

So quiet we thought we were the only ones there-until we saw full tables at the awesome breakfast 👍 Room & bathroom very spacious, modern & exceptionally clean.
