We stay here for the night just to visit some friends. Our favorite part was the garden! We loved the little rabbit and the chicken, and the garden was so pretty with the waterfall, mist, plants, and pond. The room was very clean and quiet, and we got the pool view, which was really nice. The staff were very welcoming, especially Khun Aey, who showed us around the amenities and the garden. They also served Japanese breakfast by the pool, which was a lovely touch. Would recommend.

Lovely modern property, extremely comfortable bed and very helpful and kind owner. We really liked the location - a couple in our 50s, we like to walk and found it a safe and pleasant area to walk around. Across the road from a park with some ancient ruins and also easy to walk to all the main historic sites in 20 to 30 minutes through another 2 lovely and quiet parks. Tuk tuks and grab also very accessible if needed. We ventured into Ayutthaya town on the other side of the parks and didn’t think it was as nice or quiet an area. Lots of good restaurants and street food in walking distance in the evening. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. The property is kept spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Photos are from park which is 5 minute walk from the property

1. Exceptional hosts The hosts of Tamarind were truly fantastic. Extremely friendly, great hospitality and you can really sense how much they care for the well-being of their guests. They gave us so much assistance in how to move around Ayutthaya and beyond (there were bus and train schedules nicely displayed on the wall), what places should be at the top of our list, (recommended the boat tour which was very nice!) and food recommendations (also prominently displayed!). They were there to provide "first aid" in the form of congee for my travelling companion who had a bout of indigestion and some OTC medicines too. Even though our lodging did not include food, we were still provided with good coffee, toast and cakes! Koy is a wonderful baker - if you are lucky, you may get to try her banana and coconut cake! Yumz! 2. Great location Just across the road from Wat Mahathat so we were the first persons into this site and were able to spend time there before the crowds came in. Also just a very short walk to the night market which is ultra-convenient. 3. Clean rooms with good functioning air-conditioning - lovely to come back to after time out in the hot weather in Ayutthaya.

Beautiful, traditional wooden Thai house in a lovely garden overlooking the river. Room was pretty luxurious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and it was lovely to eat it in the garden overlooking the river. There is a small coffee shop in the grounds of the residence which serves very tasty cakes. (It shuts at 5.00 pm). Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice and always fresh. There were bikes available, although I didn't use. The feel of the place was very relaxing and quiet.
