The building was beautiful. It was a delight to be able to spend time in and wander about the living room, parlor, dining room, formal entry and piano room. The stairway was lovely. Downtown was just 2 blocks away and a block away from a delightful walk around an island park.

Very comfortable room and bed, the bathroom is a well designed and clean, breakfast room is spacious and provided a good selection, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The best stay on our trip.

I stayed here a couple of times when they first took this place over. (pre covid). They were in the middle of renovations. It was the middle of winter and I needed a fan. (odd request for the middle of winter). Yet, the next thing I knew I had huge fan in my room. Considering all the things that was happening taking over a business, middle of winter and all, They made my stay perfect. Fast forward to now... I didn't know what to expect after covid.. (so many businesses have changed as far as standards set). When I arrived, the place looks great. They have done a wonderful job with the renovations! The staff is on top of their service game, very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It made my halfway stop on my trip much easier.

The person who checked me in was very nice and helped quite a bit to understand where everything is. The pool area was clean and breakfast was very good.

The Econo Lodge on the Bay is close to several area attractions including John Henes Park, Nestegg Marina, Stephenson Island, Theater on the Bay and the Waterfront Festival.

We were traveling to make time and needed a clean, handicapped accessible room with a comfortable chair for my wife to sit in when she is not able to sleep at night. The room met all of our needs. The breakfast items were good with the Jimmy Dean breakfast egg, cheese, sausage or ham biscuit. These were better than what we encountered at a different hotel on this vacation. The pastries were average prepackaged ones but that was expected.
