I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ocean House hotel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its breathtaking location – this hotel is indeed very close to the ocean, and the proximity to the water is simply unbeatable. One of the highlights of my stay was the everyday changing and tasty breakfast. Each morning, I eagerly looked forward to the delicious surprises that awaited me. It was a delightful way to start my mornings and provided the perfect fuel for my day of exploration. What truly sets the Ocean House apart, though, is the serenity it offers. It's an incredibly quiet place, perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found myself relaxing like never before, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the ocean to accompany me. And let's not forget the view! The ocean view from the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. I spent countless hours gazing out at the horizon, watching the waves roll in and feeling completely mesmerized by the beauty of nature. It's a view that truly enhances the overall experience of staying at the Ocean House. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. In conclusion, I can't recommend the Ocean House hotel enough. It's a hidden gem that offers a unique combination of proximity to the ocean, delicious breakfasts, tranquility, and breathtaking ocean views. We loved our room with the fireplace and balcony, especially with the nice kitchenette and dining area to enjoy the view. It was a special touch to have a bottle of champagne waiting with a Happy Anniversary note and treats as well! Late hot tub access was also enjoyed!

The Aviator Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Newly remodelled, it was a welcome respite from the stormy (and extremely rainy) weather outside. We could sit inside on the comfy couch and watch the waves crashing on the beach. We were waiting for a medical delivery while we were there, and Peggy went out of her way to help us. We'd definitely return on our next trip to Oregon.

    It is a newly renovated hotel on the beach in Newport and was a perfect stay for 2 couples traveling the Oregon coast. All rooms were ocean view with small balconies. Each one had 2 chairs and a table. The room provided free snacks and water, a fireplace and filtered water for the coffee make. Even binoculars. There is no free breakfast but a food truck in the parking lot that sells wonderful brioche breakfast sandwiches and also sides such as eggs and bacon.

    Beautiful view of the beach! The whaler provided excellent binoculars to take in all the view, which was also optional to purchase. Excellent location to the beach, restaurants, and the farmers market — it was a typical walking distance for us (20mins more or less). There’s no complementary breakfast but there is a breakfast sandwiches order/pick up option in the parking lot.

    People were selling drugs at the building, and there were people in their cars smoking out of a bong. I had the pleasure of listening to people have sex for about 10 minutes. The walls were super thin. Walking out to my car was like interrupting a parking lot party.
