Visiting the US from the UK we were amazed to find a place to stay with such a historic background and (our own home in England dates from around 1830) to stay somewhere built in the 1790s! The building was charming, well- cared for and the bed was so comfy! We were also directed to a really authentic diner for our dinner, which was also a brilliant experience.

The property was very clean and comfortable. I did have difficulty with the stairs, but greeter at the front desk helped me. Thank you! I did have trouble finding the building for breakfast, but did figure it out. All in all, my stay was very pleasant.

We loved the property - great rooms, comfortable bed, cool decor - having the record player and loads of records was also really fun. Good shower and toiletries. Coffee machine in the corridor made a great cup. Rob the owner was so friendly and helpful with information about local places for breakfast and hiking - thoroughly enjoyed his recommendations. The bar and restaurant are top notch - good array of beers on fraught, excellent cocktails, great wait staff and really tasty food. We just wish we stayed longer ! Thanks again - we will be back !

Amazing place. The cabin has an Extremely cozy stove. Excellent choice for warming up at night. Perfect spot for families or a group given the ample space and amenities.The owner handled everything perfectly. Extremely responsive. Definitely chose this place.
